This COULD be post in some other megaman series, but I think it'll be best if posted here. Now, since Megaman is a fictional series there's not really an answer but, what DO robots/reploids run on anyway? Machines don't keep running by them selves, they run on batteries, or they recharge, they use some sort of energy source and have to re-supply later. But for robots/reploids when they're low on energy do they recharge? Or do the energy tanks that you get in the game count as an energy source for them to keep running?

I always thought of the pellets oyu picked up from killing enemies as batteries or some energy thing, but I dunno.

Hm, maybe robots/reploids run on nuclear energy so they can run for long periods of time?

Hm, maybe robots/reploids run on nuclear energy so they can run for long periods of time? they have capsules where they won't need batteries because the capsules are like their charger

Good question there masteromegax, and i agree wif zafer somehow....if megaman ain't running around collecting those energy capsules, he will be standing for now and forever....
At 1st i thought it was something to do with the chips in their body...

Oh yeah, and I was just wondering another thing about Axl. Even though its probably just rapid energy shots, here's my question: Where the hell do Axl's bullets come from?..... Or is it just a buster disguised as a gun?
>.>;
Edit: Or maybe since the gun isn't attached to his arm like X's it probably has it's own energy source in there somewhere, or place for bullets.

I believe they eat food, I remember reading a comic in which Rock and Roll are having a human picnic. If this were true then they would be organic robots (oxymoron, anyone?) but I guess it's possible they convert the food to electricity I do know they have a regeneration system, sorta' like our bodies but way faster, so maybe the pellets they collect supercharge this system.
Axl's bullets, like any energy gun, are probably created in the gun which is powered by a battery.

the original Mega Man series takes place in 20XX,I'm sure that by that time some egg-head will have invented perpetual energy.what I want to know is:why doesen't Wily make his robot masters out of what he uses to make the hats for his Mettuars?

Because Mett´s hats absorb energy, only to lead it into the ground. If Wily were to create a Robot Master able to resist any and all attacks, it would be one that could not move.
