I would like to put my 2cents in but come on Zero is just a guy, any other videogame guy with a beam sword and a badass personality. Look at Dante off of DMC whats he, a gun wielding badass. Zero is the smae as protoman, or Rockamn.exe. Its all the same to me..........

No there're not. Personality makes difference. Nad that determines what role they play. Protoman is not an equivalent to Rockman EXE on this basis.

NEVA. Both are still equivalents in many major aspects of themselves. And besides, it's hard to determine which was created earlier, even with the showing of Wily's blueprints for Zero. Light may have considerable plans for X at the same time as Wily.

X and Zero are still very alive in Z1, WAY after X8. There is no way they could have died simply being after X8 and see here, X is still alive in Z3. After THAT, then you have the right to say that X is truly dead.

Almost every post here says "Zero is so great X is nothing but a passafist." I agree with the statement that zero is great but that doesn't mean that x sucks. They are both cool. In some games i prefer to use one over the other. In x4 i prefer to use X. In x5 i prefer to use zero and so on. They each have qualities that make them great. For X it's his armors and weapons he gets. For zero it's his black armor and the different techniques he learns. It's fun to play as both of them. They both carry the X series together(and Axl when he comes in). Sure the storyline would've been different if zero had been the main character but in my opinion it wouldn't have been great. The thing that makes the X series(In my opinion) so great is the storyline which would've been drastically changed if X wasn't there. So what i'm saying is what has already been said that they work together to make a great series and great games.

wasn't Zero created to destroy X in the begining, without Xm Zero would not have any mission (even though he dosen't even remember what his mission was) but then some can argue that X would be where he was if Zero never took him under his wing, Zero, in Maverick Hunter Rankings, was higher then X and X learned to fight by Zero's side, so in the end, one depended on the other as seem in the Zero Series, X needed Zero to protect the humans while Zero needed X's help (leading Zero to Mother Elf, giving him back the Z-Sabre)
