Ok Nick knows what this is about but I decided to post it here and see what you guys thought about it. There's a guy making a flash and he's getting help from alot of people to write it. Here I'll just copy and paste, show you what he wrote.
"Dr. Wily and Bass are the hosts and any of the Robot Masters make an appearance. There can also be guests on the show (either in studio or on the phone, like most radio shows do). This I'll get to in a sec.
The shows should all be about the same length and, if we can get enough scenes and recording done, we could shoot for 15-20 minutes (Or more, if we're lucky.) The programs have a little intro music then goes to the first segment. In between some of the segments, to give a little break to listeners, I thought there could be some music - game music, of course. And only stage themes (or Robot Master Themes, really).
That's sort of the idea. Each segment can be written by a different writer. The segments are all a bit different and whichever writer (or writers) can go for whichever segment they feel comfortable with. And I'll be doing some writing myself, especially if there's a segment no one wants or anything.
As to the characters, since the idea came from Andrew Dickman's animations, they'll have some of the same voices. Wily is the host and is still and old fart, Bass is the co-host with a (fake) British accent, Iceman is a recurring character with his squeaky, high-pitched voice. Burnerman is still a surfer and Gyroman is loopier than ever. Frostman is stuck on one-syllabe words (with the exception of "popsicle"). Metalman (thanks to Todd) is a very threaten-with-sharp-objects type. Quickman's an Aussie and Cloudman has an Indian accent and other robot masters can have whatever quirks you want.
The segments are below and are named just to make it easier to say which one you want to write for. They're not actually used in the scripts.
Current Events - Wily and Bass go back and forth with their favorite recent events. Only the funny and weird news makes it in (though Wily may laugh at "23 Dead in Shopping Mall").
One on One - Wily and Bass can discuss whatever they want in between segments and it can go to a armageddon-level argument, Irish Drinking songs, or who can say teh alphabet the fastest. Whatever floats your Diveman.
Callers - This can be anybody outside of Skull Fortress so the caller can be Joe Schmoe, Protoman, or George W. Bush. This one's up for grabs and there can be more than one callers for each show so, go nuts with this one.
Sneakers - Title stolen from a favorite movie of mine, Shadowman and Quint are the head of security in Skull Fortress and, in the process, they overhear (and record) some werid conversations. They have a few favorites to play on the air. Go nuts with whatever you find funny. There may be more than one of these in a program.[
Wily on the Issues - The politcal rantings of a man bent on ruling the world. Example: Illegal Immigration; Wily doesn't care where the immigrants go or how they get there since he'll rule the whole world someday.
Interviews - Either on the phone or in studio, Wily invited them to talk. Again, you can do almost anything with this one. It is Wily.
Ad Spots - Wily has to fund this venture, so he got some Robot Masters to do some ads. There will be a few in each show and, though they're short, the product, the Robot Master(s) doing it, and how they do the ad are totally up to the writer.
Movie Spots - Certain type of ad spot worth mentioning. Some of the ads can be for movies. A Robot Master can be narrating or have a role in the movie featured. Do whatever you want (Like Starman narrating for "Brokeback Mountain".)
Readings - Now, this is a little different. Not really any writing involved here, though this can be original poetry, but some poetry is a written for us to use (a lot, I think). This is just listed as it will be used. It's poetry in wacky voices. Just think: Cloudman and his Indian accent reciting Longfellow's "Hiawatha".
Spotlight - Concentrating on one Robot Master at a time, they are each given 30 seconds in the spotlight to speak their mind. Why the time limit? 'Cuz others have stuff to say too, now move! (-_-') Another one to go anywhere with. Just don't insult Wily - he's right there, ya know.
Caffinated Spotlight - For one program, all the spotlights are of Masters on caffeine - because Wily wanted to do it and thought it'd be funny.
Not all may be used in the same show and some may be used more than once. Also, this is just what I came up with. If you have a suggestion for another segment or something else to add to the show, by all means - post.
PM me with the segments you'd like to write for (limit yourself to maybe three, if you have a lot of time n your hands). Try to write in a sensible script format so we can read names for the dialogue, sounds if they are referenced, and directions (such as voice directions, etc). We'll get to voices when the first script is complete.
That should be all I need to say: And questions? I hope this wasn't a bad idea."
I might be doing Wily on Issues for him, if anyone has some funny ideas for issues he should talk about, pm them to me
