It has events and other ideas planned but lacks a community...and staff >> So this is a invite to join HUF and become part of the community. Also, I want to go a step further and affiliate with ZV. You see that small image? That's the minibanner for an affiliate flasher. If you ever get one(Like I have) I will gladly make one for you So join today ;D

Hey, it's me again. Just once again asking people to come visit HUF. We've got our own RPG and Shop that plays alot like a TCG without the cards. You can post Youtube/Google movies now. We have staff openings for those who think they are responsible enough.
But these aren't very useful without members so please join.

I'll join. Under one condition: I get to urge the new joining members to be at least tolerant of recolors. Not everyone has "U83R L337 5PR171N9 5K1LL5 0F D00M!!!!!".

Hmm, well I wish it was an IPB type, I've been an admin for a forum of that sort for quite a while. I'll join, though ^_^

Hmm... decent looking forum, but I have a few suggestions ( especially for starting out. ) These are: 1- start slowly and build up (too many sections and sub-forums make a forum look dead/deserted, and thats not good for attracting people.)
2- Don't make people staff unless your sure you can trust them (This may seem counter productive especially when you need the help, but it prevents power abuse, veteran issues and over population of mods. This also prevents your board from being all mods and no members, which looks just as bad as having a dead forum...)
(And just so I don't come off sounding like a person who'se never run a board but just wants to shoot his mouth off, I should mention I am staff on several forums, such as Hellblaze Headquarters and Mobius X.)

Just so you know, we didn't just start out like 1 month ago. We've actually been around since Sentember of last year. Originally, it was just a Mega Man Role-Playing forum for me and my friends but since it was just us, it slowly got boring. So we tried fixing it up. It looked better through different incarnations before we got the final product.
I have learned many things through my forum including not to make too many people staff. We have a total of 4 staff now and I think that is enough.
As for it being complicated and big, I don't think so. It's very organized from how I made it. Yeah, it might be a little intimidating but it's just a forum.
Thanks for the tips anyway but I already figured those out months ago.

By having too many forum sections it looks dead/deserted, which doesn't help attract people, especially when they see only 18 members... And having loads of sections with few/no posts doesn't help either. So what I am saying is remove some of the less critical sections at first. (I don't know if you can do it as easily on a proboards forum... But if it were an Invision Power Board, you could just chose to hide those sections and after it gets more members then open them up...) Just so the forum doesn't look as dead, which will make it less intimidating so more will join. Everything about a forum is all about looks at first, then when people join it becomes more about the staff and what's in the topics themselves.

Good luck with your forum, and by the way the design looks awesome.
