Yes! you herd it right! I'm reviving my first work once again. I've spent the past few days re-writing this, and I'm very happy with what i've done sofar, for one of my favorite and first stories I've ever actually started to write. Some of you may have read the fanfic before on the Ciel Network's main site or how much I posted it Here and Here on ZV. Trust me, this is quite a whole new bag of tricks. As for concerns towards this flowing with cannon: It mostly does. You could say this is AU, I will be walking the line of cannon aside from the few things that I'll be tinkering around with (like the 3 generals formerally being humans before reploids). Basically to sum it all up in one sentence, I'll be following the cannon of the story as much as i see fit. You'll see what I mean when I go on. (Ok, that was two sentences, but you get the point) As for disclaimers go: this story is only done for fun and not for profit. I do not own capcom, Inti creates, nor any rights to the franchise. If I did, well...this is probably how it would have gone down. Important: Ratings wise, this story OVERALL gets a R rating, or a low PG-17 rating. I may boost or lower the rating as time goes on. Oh yea, I also put the Generic author's notes down at the end of each chapter. So you may pick up a few things there. So without further ado, let me start the show (once again). ----------------------- Megaman Zero 2.5: Rescue mission By Nicktendonick Chapter 1: Just dreamy 2 weeks after the disappearance of Elpizo, 5:15 A.M. The alarm went off waking up the green general Harpuia from his slumber. As he got out of his bed he activated his light green armor on, and in an instant he got to the battlefield. Zero stood in front of him putting his buster gun to the head of a woman in blue armor. “You came all this way just to die Zero? You must really have a death wish.” Said Harpuia. “It is you who will die tonight.” Zero replied revealing his hostage to be Leviathan. “It’s time we end this, let her go now!” Harpuia yelled. Zero pushed Leviathan to a wall. Then without any warning resistance soldiers began to walk in the open with their guns all pointed towards Harpuia. By the time the insurgents stopped appearing, Harpuia could count about 150 soldiers easy. “You’re able to take me on, you’re able to dodge my attacks, but there is no way you dodge all of our shots at once, nor beat us all. You’re finished Harpuia! Surrender and I’ll make it a quick end.” Zero said. “Never” Responded harpuia in a clam voice. “I can kill you all at once, just watch” Harpuia calmly replied. He stretched his arms to his sides, and 2 small balls of pure energy started to gather and encase Harpuia’s hands” “TAKE THIS!” Harpuia screamed as he brought his hands and the energy within them together, a mammoth blast came from his fingers, destroying all of the resistance soldiers and Zero within the massive power of the beam of energy. “No way! You are strongest reploid ever, NOOO!” were Zero’s last words as became nothing but dust. “My Hero!” Levi said as she hugged Harpuia and she kissed him on the cheek. “No wonder you’re the king of the world” spoke Levi in a happy tone. Quicky her eyes turned lustrous as she talked in a sexual tone “I think its time for your reward my hero”. The two then kissed, then Harpuia pushed Levi on a bed and he got on top of her, all while still kissing. Before he could continue any further Levi separated their mouths to Harpuia’s dissatisfaction. “There’s a problem Harpuia” Levi muttered. “What’s the problem, can’t it wait?” Harpuia replied. “You have to get up, are you there Harpuia? Wake up, it’s urgent”. Harpuia was dumbfounded. Levi began to shake Harpuia “Wake up, Wake up, pick up the phone damnit!” she said repeatedly. Harpuia rose from his bed and woke up, this time for real. Harpuia’s hair ran down his face, his green eyes half-awake. Turning his head to the phone, he heard Levi’s voice on the intercom, telling him to pick up the phone over and over. Reluctantly, he complied and picked the phone up from the hook that laid next to the bed. “Leviathan, is that you? It’s 5:17 in the morning” Harpuia complaining-ly said. “This better be good, I was having a good dream, and I had just…” He said before Levi interrupted him. Levi spoke in a stressed tone, “Forget about that Harpuia, we have a major catastrophe on our hands, and I need you to get to the conference room pronto, so get your butt dressed and be there by 6 o’clock. I don’t want to do this de-briefing twice. Levi out.” As she finished, she hung up the phone. “Great”, he thought, “Just what I needed”.5:56 A.M. Harpuia entered the meeting room. There were a series of other reploids in the room. They were busy in conversation, so Harpuia decided not interrupt as he quietly moved to his seat as Fefnir, the red clad reploid flared up again, annoyed over another morning meeting. Fefnir greatly loathed morning meetings. Greatly. A voice from a corner of the room broke up Fefnir’s complaining. “Where’s Leviathan?” it began, “Aztec Falcon, Burble Hekelot, Phoenix Magnion, the Anchus brothers and myself have been in here waiting for her to come to explain this “dire” situation to us that she keeps on ranting about. For all we know she broke a nail”. It was a general of the Neo-arcadian armies and one of Harpuia’s 4 apprentices: Panter Flauclaws. His bulky black body was shaped like a actual panther, while he had black with red shoulder plating on his armor that while made him look bulky and heavy, did nothing actually of the sort. His clawed feet impatiently tapped the floor in sync. His panther-like ears and tail twitched in the air. The wise green reploid falcon in the room, Aztec Falcon answered quickly. “Panter, calm down, you’ve only been here for 10 minutes, I’ve been here for nearly 40. You have nothing to complain about. Besides, she should be here any…” Aztec wasn’t even able to finish his sentence when Leviathan opened the door and entered the room holding a series of papers in one arm with folders caught in her armpit, and a steaming cup of coffee in the other. Her sleek and thin sky blue armor perfectly accompanied the white underarmor beneath it. The only part of her that wasn’t slim or skin tight was her helmet, which paned out far backwards, slightly reminiscent of a shell. The blue beauty of Neo-Arcadia had a very troubled look on her face; something was indeed wrong. Quickly, Leviathan put it all on the table and set up as she began her grim speech while handing out papers to all. Levi started “You’re all wondering why I summoned you all here, and I only have time to explain this once, I might as well get straight to the point. Today at 3:23 A.M our time in India there was a nuclear explosion in one of our neo-arcadia bases; a missile disposal facility to be exact. The base itself has been reduced to ashes and a nearby town has taken extreme damage. The first response groups have confirmed over 214 dead and predicted that there will be around hundreds of cases of radiation poisoning as the days continue. I have deployed the entire Neo-arcadia nuclear cleanup unit to remove as much of this fallout as possible in both air, land, and sea to prevent as much damage as possible. It was very fortunate there was no wind that or else this would have been a lot worse. I have ordered a mandatory evacuation of all nearby areas and it is being carried out as we speak. Around ten thousand people are being relocated to the designated refugee areas As for the media, I sent out a gag order on the associated press so they do not report this information or dig for answers before we do. At the moment, only the government controlled press networks have reported the story to calm panic in the region, and the Associated press are picking up our version of the story through them at the moment. You all hold the initial reported story in your hands. Procedure would normally call for the story to be submitted to the S3 department before wiring the story to the news networks, but time is of the essence so I had no choice to skip protocol this time.” “Any questions so far?” Said Leviathan, opening the floor up to the others. “Yes, have we determined what caused the explosion? I remember that there were nuclear warheads taken to a base in India to be defused and dismantled, is this that same base?” asked Harpuia “It was the same base, but from the initial findings I’ve obtained from one of the black boxes that survived the explosion, the final warhead was dismantled close to 4 hours before the explosion. I believe it was not the cause nor any of them did explode in the initial explosion.” Levi answered. “Once we decontaminate the remaining black boxes and access their data, I can tell you for sure what happened. Until then, I can’t give you simple answer”. “It could never be that simple, right bro,” said Herculious Anchus, the red reploid beetle. “So truly said my brother” added Kuwagust Anchus the blue reploid beetle. The rest of the group knew this, nothing was ever simple for them, especially when they had worked 4 days strait rebuilding their fallen generals, It was lucky that Phoenix, Panter, Kuwagust, Burble Hekelot, and Herculious’s cyber brains were intact after the Elpizo incident, Polar Kamrous's was destroyed completely, not even using the forbidden practice of Reploid DNA resurrection techniques could truly revive the stupid-yet friendly reploid they all once knew. Hyleg Ourobockle, The Neo-Arcadia snake had serves cyber brain damage; Leviathan said his intelligence was vastly damaged. At the time being he had the brain power of a 3-year-old human baby. “Ok then, if the nukes wasn’t the cause, what was?” asked Fernir. “Alright. The initiator of the explosion was this bio reploid here.” Levi answered as she pulled hit a switch on a remote she was holding. A holographic projection of seemingly child-like reploid was showed on it along with data off it. “This bio-reploid’s date of creation was exactly 4 years ago today. His serial number was SR-X1” Before she could tell more, Harpuia asked a question “What model was this reploid, how did he cause this explosion, and if there are anymore reploids like him, how can we prevent this from happening again?” “Well” Levi began as she hit another button and projected the raw data of SR-X1 file “His file indicated that He was a prototype reploid, he was designed to be a war machine built with great potential, his systems back then were state-of-the-art and was scheduled to be constantly upgraded to remain top notch; he was meant to be the best. He also learns at an amazing rate. If he reached his max potential, he could theoretically become stronger then any one of us. Yet the project was canceled, thus he was never updated since his creation, nor was he brought up to combat standards, and never undertook any military training. He was re-assigned to India where he worked as a lab assistant to the scientists who dismantled the missiles there, studying the data of missile workings. From what I have collected from the data left there, the cause of the explosion was because of the un-removed nuclear power reactor in him. Why he blew up was because of a glitch in his system hardware, which made his nuclear self-destruct mechanism overload and malfunction, thus causing a high yield nuclear explosion.” “You sure it’s the cause?” Panter asked. “I’m sure Panter” Levi said firmly, “Now the Files about this prototype reploid states that a 5 days later, they created a sister bio-reploid labeled SR-X2 with the exact same systems as SR-X1. SR-X2 was thrown away after a refusal of orders and projected failure of this entire program by Copy-X a couple of years ago. SR-X2 herself was even deemed a failure by my predecessor, the former director of Neo-arcadia’s Science department: Dr. Kraken. Under Dr. Kraken’s orders SR-X2 was sent to a reploid rehabilitation camp to be destroyed. This “sister” reploid was apparently not destroyed and disappeared a few weeks after her being sent there and has dropped off the radar ever since. If my calculations are correct, she very well could explode in about 4 days. Now I have good news and bad news about this SR-X2 reploid. So Harpuia, which do want to hear first?” “I’ll take that good news first.” Harpuia answered Levi answered, “The reploid is in good condition and we know where she is.” “So where is our little time bomb?” Fernir asked “And that’s the bad news. SR-X2 is with Dr. Ciel’s resistance group. Upon rejoining, she underwent a name change and has stayed under that alias ever since. Her name… … Is Alouette” End of chapter 1 OMG moment go! There may be a few things that you might not get here in this first chapter, but as the story continues the holes will all be filled in. That I promise you. Heck, I should be able to fill capcom’s infamous plotholes as well depending on if I play my cards right.

Chapter 2: The Plan
“Alou who?” Said Burble Hekelot, the small toad-like reploid in the room.
“Alouette is her name, she sticks to Ciel and Zero like glue” Harpuia answered as Leviathan projected a picture of another child reploid. Blond hair flowed down to the child’s back, big blue adorable puppy eyes complete with two reploid earpieces. It was one of Alloute herself in simple garb, one given to prisoners of Neo-Arcadia. The last known photo Neo-Arcadia had of her.
“From the information I gained from the resistance in previous “visit” there, this girl was rescued by the resistance four years ago and has taken a great liking to the doctor. As I said before, she sticks to Ciel and Zero like glue following them around wherever they go. She acts like a little girl and carriers a ripped stuffed animal around.” Harpuia gave a slight “heh” before continuing. “I can’t believe a reploid of such magnitude could have slipped right through my fingers like that. If not for this, I would have assumed she was just a simple reploid child.”
“Wait a second…” Fefnir interrupted, “We should be celebrating, if this girl blows up, she’ll destroy the entire resistance, Ciel, and more importantly that bastard Zero!” he said as he slapped his armored leg, along with his thought coming together fully. “We should be celebrating instead of worrying! In 4 days the entire resistance will be blown to kingdom come and that’ll be the end of them!” said Fernir
“But it’s not that simple” said Harpuia, “Even if we decided to let another nuclear explosion happen, the ramifications of such a event can be disastrous.”
“Exactly Harpuia” Levi confirmed “Somehow, we must get this SR-X2, Alouette out of the resistance base and bring her somewhere safe; from there we prevent the reactor inside her from malfunctioning. Or detonate her someplace where no or minimal damage can occur”
“What about killing her? Will it set off the bomb?” Fernir asked
The Green Falcon inside the room, Aztec Falcon, spoke up.“I don’t know if it might, but I believe the risk is too great to retire her.” he said. He sat firmly in his seat, wings reclined behind him, hands calmly down on the table. His bird like head was clear and focused. “Lady Leviathan, what is your thoughts on retiring her?”
Instead of Leviathan answering, Harpuia interrupted and answered his question. “It’s a risk we will not take.” He said firmly, “Aside from the obvious dangers of contaminating a whole region of land, it will get us a lot of negative media attention for letting such a thing happen again. Aside from that, the nuclear clean-up units already have their hands full with one cleanup, which I might add could have been a lot worse if not for the quick action taken. Dividing the clean up will cause a lot more problems to come in the future with how much damage it could do. Ontop of that if the media found out that we let a nuclear bomb go off, it would cause a massive uproar among the populous. Besides, killing her will make us seem like barbarians, and it will attract more to the resistance cause.” He placed his hands firmly down on the table. “Killing her is not a option. Understand?”
“Yes, sir” replied the rest of the board, except for one.
Burble Hekelot thought out loud, “Man Harpuia, can’t you ever give us a break? All this for one little girl? It’d be so much simpler to just kill her then do this. Hell you work us harder then Copy-X ever did.”
It only took a few seconds to realize what he just said for Harpuia to hear. His eyes widened
It took him a few more seconds to realize he was sitting right next to Harpuia. His eyes widened even further.
Before Harpuia could inflict pain on him, the oversized reploid toad opened his mouth to apologize. The moment he opened his mouth, Harpuia’s hand shot forward and clamped onto Burble Hekelot’s tongue.
“Hekelot… tell me….was that what you really think or is that your ignorance talking again?” Harpuia asked in a murderous tone. Harpuia’s eyes looked more fierce as a tiger’s. Saying he was annoyed was definitely a understatement.
“It-it…was my ignorance S-Sir” the stuttering frog reploid mumbled out, as much as one could if you’re holding their tounge. “I-I-I’m sorry about what I said. Y-You really don’t work us that hard, and you’re really good when compared to him.”
Harpuia wasn’t flattered, but it was good enough of a response for him. “Thank you Hekelot.” Said the green war machine as he released Burble Hekelot’s tongue. He whispered one more thing to Hekelot as he regained his composure. “Don’t do it again, or else I’ll cut that tongue of yours off and strangle you with it.”
“Ta-That Thank you sir” Burble Hekelot said in a loud voice, his eyes darting around him nervously as he sat down in their chair. They all knew not to disobey or piss Harpuia off; they all remember happened to Hanumachine.
*ka-flashback!*
It was hours before Phoenix Magnion, the Anchus brothers, Burble Hekelot, Panter Flauclaws, Hyleg Ourobockle, Polar Kamrous, went to the Neo-Arcadia original X Shrine to make sure Elpizo never made it X’s body. Among them was Hanumachine, a white monkey reploid with a long red staff he always carried with him. As the others watched, Harpuia and Hanumachine argued over the actual need to even do the mission
Hanumachine rephrased his entire arugment into one simple statement: “Neo-Arcadia should not put its best reploid commanders to protect a worn-out, pathetically useless piece of reploid crap. Instead that they should melt Original-X’s body down and throw it into the scrap heap.”
The 7 other animal commanders all stood back as the they saw Harpuia’s clenched fists tighten. Hanumachine was barking up a very bad tree. If Hanumachine was a fool, or if he was too ignorant to worry about pissing off his boss. The egotistic racist known as Hanumachine didn’t really care.
Harpuia rephrased that as well. “You’re defying my orders Hanumachine? I order you to act, not to think.”
Hanumachine’s response was quick “A piece of fine work such as myself, It’s shameful enough that I’m taking orders from a former human such as yourself, I refuse to protect the corpse of a human sympathizer. You’re a god damn-ed fool for trying to protect this old-fashioned piece of humanist crap.”
“Still a machinist huh?” Was all Harpuia said as he thought.
It was very well known to those that know him. Hanumachine was a machinist, a reploid who hates humans, reploids with organic and machine parts, and conversions such as Harpuia, Leviathian and Fefnir who were once humans, but become more reploid then human through surgery. Reploids like Hanumachine believe that humans are inferior; that reploids are the true dominate race on and the Humans should be their servants, not the other way around. Hanumachine originally servered under the fully reploid Phantom by order of Copy-X, since he refused to serve anyone else but another reploid. Since Phantom’s death one might wonder why Hanumachine continued worked for the Humanist Neo-Arcadia. If you talk to him though, he’ll give you a simple answer. It was because he got to destroy and kill human and reploid alike. Something he could not do if he didn’t work for the military.
“You know I don’t care if you openly hate me; you know I don’t care if you fight only for the pleasure of killing; and you know I don’t care what you say behind closed doors, even if it’s borderline maverick; for a peon like you, what I only care about is your loyalty to Neo-Arcadia, and that you follow my orders when I give them. And that, you do neither.” Harpuia said, igniting his magenta color beamsaber and with it making the point of accusation to Hanumachine.
“I’ve had enough of your bullshit, for a year I’ve had to put up with you while you refuse virtually every order I give. And I have had enough. This is your final warning Hanumachine. You shut your god damn mouth and start follow my orders before I shut you up permanently. ”
This threat to Hanumachine, was a idle one. It didn’t matter if what THE supreme authority of Neo-Arcadia said. Hanumachine was superior to him in every form and way, and nothing a filthy bio-covert like him could ever change such. Neo-Arcadia needs his strength, especially for the mission at hand. And there was nothing Harpuia could do to change such. All this he firmly believed as he answered a simple “No.” with a simple sadistic smile on his face.
Harpuia teeth gritted harder then when he faced Zero. “If that’s the way you want Hanumachine, then get the hell out of my face. Hanumachine, I promise you will regret this.”
“Oh no…I don’t think so.” The white racist monkey reploid replied “You will regret it, not me. TK-31 is going to wipe the floor with those other failures you call commanders, and when they’re all beaten and broken, just like before when you had noone else left to turn to, you’re going to come crawling back to me, begging for my help like the filthy human you are.” Hanumachine boastfully said.
Harpuia’s second beam saber ignited. “How dare you…” Harpuia muttered
The green sage was beginning to lose his calm head. His eyes gleamed a face full of murderous intent at Hanumachine.
“…Get…the f*** out of my face right now!” Harpuia said.
Oddly, Hanumachine complied. Without a sound, Hanumachine turned around and made his way to the door. Harpuia began to force himself to calm himself down. The energy blades of Harpuia’s magenta sabers retreated, and Harpuia put them away as he watched Hanumachine open the door.
“If that’s the case, let me just say this.” Hanumachine suddenly said, back facing Harpuia “You’re nothing compared to Copy-X, and you never will be. Harpuia, you’ll going to hell soon enough, just like your pathetic… human… filthy… lowlife… f**king parents!”
And those were the last words Hanumachine ever said.
The sound of a beamsaber ignited behind Hanumachine along with a tapping of metal feet. Hanumachine jerked his head to the side looking back. He saw a magenta beamsaber rushing towards him. There was no time to react. The magenta saber stabbed itself right through his gasping mouth. The Metal of Hanumachine was smashed as the saber broke all the way through him, going right through his mouth and out the back. The monkey’s eyes turned and looked at the wielder. Harpuia’s face was gritted, angry and engraged beyond reason. It was only at this time Hanumachine realized he had crossed the line with Harpuia, and the taboo subject that was his family.
“You…f***ing…monkey” He said with a slow but increasing fury as the saber pressed deeper inside his mouth, squirting Hanumachine’s flowing crimson colored oil on the two of them. “YOU’RE DEAD!” They were the last words Hanumachine ever herd. Harpuia ripped the magenta beamsaber from Hanumachine’s mouth, followed by a assault of ten blazing slashes that tore the reploid Hanumachine apart.
The reploid fell apart, the oil soaked pieces of his body fell down in disrepair onto the floor. The bloody mess formerally known as Hanumachine lay on the blood-soaked floor, his oil-ish blood seeping out and spreading out into a puddle.
Hanumachine’s murder, Harpuia stood there drenched in Hanumachine’s oil-blood. It gracefully trickling down his body, joining the pool of crimson oil that seeped from Hanumachine’s corpse. Slowly, the red and green general de-activated his saber and turned around to face his 7 remaining commanders.
Harpuia wiped the blood from his face; he cleared his throat as he faced his remaining commanders. A moment of silenced passed as Harpuia calmed down regained a cool face. “Off the record, If any of you care about what I have just done, voice your opinion now.”
Panter spoke. “I do sir.”
Harpuia focused his eyes on the black panther reploid. “What is it my apprentice?”
Panter’s answer simple “You know all have a beef with that assmonkey and you know we wanted to do that to him, especially me. You should have let us get a few hits in before you gave him his just deserts.”
Harpuia smiled, clean of the blood that covered the rest of his armor. “Duley noted, I’ll take that into consideration next time.”
“Does anyone else have something else to say that’s not the same thing?” Harpuia said.
No response
“Good” Harpuia voiced calmly as he put his beamsaber away. “You will continue your mission as planned without Hanumachine.” He calmly said “Move out”
The 7 animal reploid commanders saluted Harpiua “Yes Sir!”
*end flashback*
7:11 A.M. Back at the boardroom, everyone was thinking of a plan to work on that could succeed. One person would normally expect that a plan could be formed easily by then when you throw Neo-Arcadia’s elite of the elite together in one room. Unfortunately, that one person doesn’t know this cast of characters that well. But Harpuia did. For the past hour, they’ve been going through multiple solutions, all of which they realized would not work. Or for Burble Hekelot’s proposal…not feasibly possible.
Sitting in his chair, Harpuia viewed his subordinates across the room.
Burble Hekelot and Fefnir sat in their chairs in the same thinking position. The genius Leviathan continued to overview the data over and over of the situation, digging for the light of inspiration to strike her. Herculious Anchus passed the basic map that Neo-Arcadia had of resistance base to the other Anchus, who then passed the data-tablet of Resistance weapons to his brother. Panter began tapping his claws in succession on the table, which snapped Phoenix Magnion out of his train of thought…again. Aztec Falcon was no longer sitting in his chair, but sitting on the floor deep in meditation, probably proofreading a unsaid solution.
Gazing at them, Harpuia remembered again why he drinks.
The Room was silent until the large firey mystic reploid bird known as Phoenix Magnion spoke. His wings on his sides, sitting strong.
“You know, we could just tell them that she will blow up.” Phoenix said, completely out of ideas that would not get shot down by Harpuia.
“We will save that for a last resort, we might have the ability to turn this bad situation to our advantage, and I do not want to pass it up” Said Harpuia, his eyes turned to Leviathan’s face “Levi, why can’t you think of something like you always do?”.
“I did Harpy. 34 times. You shot them all down” Leviathan replied in annoyance, not facing him.
“And most of them involved hacking the resistance base. We all know what happened last time you tried that.” Harpuia replied, his eyes slowly sinking from her face.
Levi made her comeback. “How could I know that that blond had such good counter hackers at her disposal? I would have steeped out our defenses if I did. Either way, you know I’ve….” Leviathan stopped mid-sentence and frowned, noticing where her commanding officer’s eyes, and attention were at.
Shifting, she moved her head down to meet Harpuia’s eyes with her annoyed eyes. “You know I’ve upgraded them ever since.” She said in a increasing annoyed tone. “There’s no way it could ever happen again.”
“Until Zero destroys the firewalls again. Leaving our systems open to another attack.” Commented Harpuia, steaming Leviathan even more. She stood back up off her chair and crossed her arms, giving a beaming stare at Harpuia. Harpuia, accepted her challenge and glared back. And thus the staring contest of Green eyes vs Blue eyes began.
And just as it began it ended when Fefnir spoke up. “You guys” he asked, “Where’s Nora? I know she can probably help us out here.”
Harpuia jumped on the opportunity to change the subject. “Yes Levi, where is she?”
Leviathan looked at them. Apparently her idea fell silent on death ears again. Instead they wanted to know where her subordinate is. Sighing in defeat, she answered.
“She’s everywhere I can’t be at.” Levi said, reaching for her coffee cup. “Right now she’s in India trying to explain this whole thing to non-government news networks that’s covering the story.” Finished Levi as she took a sip from her coffee.
“With those bloodsuckers? Ouch.” Fefnir commented.
“Tell me about it.” Levi added “I hate those nosey news reporters.” Taking another sip of coffee after speaking.
Aztec Falcon’s eyes finally opened, and he began to show signs of life once again. “If I may speak.” Aztec Falcon said out loud, catching the attention of the other people in the room. “I believe I have a solution”
“Um, aright Aztec you have the floor.” Harpuia said, clearing the room for the electric reploid.
“I believe we should launch a frontal assault on the resistance base…” Aztec was saying until Panter interrupted him. “That was my idea, and we already said it wouldn’t work.”
Aztec looked at the panther reploid, but continued none the less, “Panter, I was not finished. Anyway, as I was trying to say was that we should launch a small frontal assault on the resistance base enough to draw Zero to that battlefield. This would be a distraction to the real operation. A small team can then can then infiltrate inside the resistance base and retrieve this Alouette girl, then escape out of the base with the child where they will meet up with our forces and be extracted them from the field, just as the frontal assault retreats. By the time the resistance realizes what we were really after, it should be too late. Does this sound good Master Harpuia?”
“Sounds brilliant” Harpuia replied.
"That's a great plan!" Fernir shouted out in excitement, pumping his left hand up in the air with all his glory.
“ Clever thinking Aztec, I think we should go with it.” Levi spoke as she sat in her chair.
Harpuia put it up to a vote. “Alright then, by a show of hands who else agrees that we should take this solution?”
Everyone raised their hands. The wise Aztec Falcon proved his wisdom again.
“That’s perfect. We’re all agreed on it then”
Harpuia continued “Fernir, Aztec, Burble, Panter, and Phoenix will lead that frontal assault; Leviathan and myself will break into the resistance base to retreive SR-X2. The Anchus brothers will assist with our extraction. Fefnir, I want you to get as many X-drones as you need. Herculious, Kuwagust, Leviathan and myself will prepare for the extraction. Does everyone understand their roles?”
“YES SIR!” Said all the other members.
“Good. Then this meeting is over. Let’s get to work.” Harpuia said. Saying that, everyone got up and left the room, all knowing what they must do next.
End of chapter 2.
What can I say? I don’t like Hanumachine. And I answer a certain question: In MMZ2 Why do you face 7 bosses in the final level and not 8 like in all Megaman games (granted, two of the bosses fight together, which means you refight 6 bosses instead of 8 as usual)
As for that scene, as it does explain the above, it does explain quite a few other things as well that I'll be getting around to later on in this story. Just wait and see.

Hmm ... yes, I clearly remember this fanfic. The one with Alouette having a large unstable energy source inside her. It's a little strange to find old pre-Z3 Reploids, the bosses Zero has to fight, in this fic ... but what the heck. It's still a nice read, this one is.

Well, this is all before Weil's takeover, and since Neo-Arcadia has a habit of reviving their generals (as seen with Aztec and the bettle brothers in Z2) they should be back. When you think about it, it makes sense too, especally if Zero killed them all.
*goes on a Anodoe* (I think that's how it's spelt)
To announce and make it known that a single person killed them all or Revive them (even if it's by illegal means) and just say that either... they fought said person, say the fight never happened, or that Zero fled like a coward.
Also you're able to keep said people instead of replacing them; along with the ideal that if you're into brainwashing, you can tamper with the revived reploid's mind, personality, and memories to suit your needs.
As to why they never revived Copy-X? Simple. They all hated him with a passion. Who would you want to order you around? A vile, psychotic Dictator who makes foolish actions or a "sage" like Harpuia? The choice is pretty simple.
I'd go on with Wiel's revival methods, but I'll save that for another time, another chapter.
----------------------------------
Anyway, as to why I haven't updated, It was mostly because of final assignments of my class, which has kept me busy this week. (along with getting virused and having to deal with that whole problem).
Anyway, this means I've offically passed my class! While I don't know what my final grade exactly is, from what I can get from the current readings, I think I got a A in the class.
With classes out of the way for now, I can get back to the other matters at hand, including this fanfic.
So expect chapter three sometime within the week.
.....oh boy.... I forgot about Tech Kraken....

Just as a point of information, I thought that none of them knew Copy X was a copy. In Z1 they all obey him without question and the fact that Harpuia immediately falls to the ground and bows when he shows up in Z3 tells me that he thinks Copy is the real X. I don't think any of the generals were aware of it, I thought that Ciel made the copy and he slipped flawlessly into X's place.
For fanfic purposes I can see why you'd go that way but from where I'm sitting I figured everyone was being decieved.

True true. All teh Reploids there never bothered to think taht the X is a Copy. Only Ciel and Weil seemed to have the brains to know so.
Well, with all due respect, take your time with the fanfic. I'd be waiting.

About weil knowing, he should know, He was there (right?). If X sealed the Mother/dark elf during the elf wars within his own body, how could he be running around giving orders? Obviously he can't be the same person. The fact that "X"'s personality is different and that Copy-X is weaker both mentality and in power is more proof of such. It also makes him easy pickings for Weil to use once Zero kills Copy-X.
As for the whole gap. This may not be that accurate, but this is how I see it.
X "died or vanished" mysteriously at the climax of the elf wars. In truth, he sealed himself. But the public did not know that; treating him as AWOL in public and dead behind the scenes. When the energy crisis came, they needed a real leader solve the problem and unite everyone under Neo-Arcadia, to deal with such a great crisis.
Resurrecting X, the founder of Neo-Arcadia from the dead (or so they though they were doing) seems to be a pretty good ideal. Copy-X was meant to BE HIM, with his memory and everything. But in the end, they just recreated someone different, with X's memory, but not his heart/soul. So when Copy-X was finished and came out of the woodwork, "X has been revived! Here he is!"
As Swim said, he flawless slips into X's place and basically took over his life. The world accepted him as X revived, not a copy of X.
Now if the public, or the 4 generals know all this? Maybe. Before (in the original version), Everybody knew he was a fake. Now, I'm not too sure if I'm sticking to that story.
I actually have allot of extra information. Infact, I wrote full complete bios for Harpuia, Copy-X, Millan (that guy who dies in the Z1 intro), Colbor, Harpuia's 4th apprentice and a half-assed bio for Zero. (as to why? It was a distraction to my homework at the time, if I remember correctly). In retrospect It's lucky I did, I might have lost some of my juicy information if I didn't.

Can you PM me the bios? I'd be interested to see them.
And you raise an interesting point, they probably knew that Copy X wasn't the origanal X but they regarded and treated him as if he were the same thing. Maybe that's why, I'd always thought that the guardians didn't know he was a copy.

Can you PM me the bios? I'd be interested to see them. Well, sorry, but no thanks, for multiple reasons. Caution: this may make your brain hurt. 1) they're spoiler-ful. there's tons of spoilers in them that would ruin quite a few parts of this story. Half of the reason for doing a interlude between Z2 and Z3 is to introduce the other characters in the story and develop the pasts of all these people.
2) Not sure how cannoncal to my story they are anymore. I mean, I wrote all these prior to Z4, and continued that Harpuia ruled NA after Z3. This includes adding another character "Maya Kyoto" who I'm now iffy on if I should include her existance for the same reason as the mother elf's post Z3 if Z4 is the final story Including on this, I expanded many many things, and added things like mutant humans and DBZ style energy (a sample of that is seen in the begining).
This is ALL minus the fact that I did a multipude of crossovers back in the day, including DBZ, EXE, Soul Caliber (which a fragment remains in a previous contest here) Phantasy Star Online, and even Capcom vs. Snk. Over time, I've been able to remove it all out, all execpt "that one girl" who's giving me a problem... Yea, I went there But years later I left there. While I love the crossovers that I did and how it made other characters (like DBGT's Pan, TT's Terra, and PSO's Stifer) shine so brightly....It only works in my head, and I probably don't think people would like it.
As I said, I've phased most of it all out by now. Especally if I make Z4 the final chapter of the series (which it wasn't suppose to be for me. When I look back, it seems I have 12 more "stories" to do. )
3) Size. The bios all together are 32 pages long. They're very big 4) Fear. If I actually leak them and everybody finds out what I intially planned to do to Ciel...you'd guys would kill me then run me out of town. and I'm a ciel fan too.... Ok, I'm done with that massive anecdote. Sorry for that ramble. Please ignore it if it makes your brain hurt. True, true. To the Zero games cannon, I'd have to agree on you with that one, but mostly because of phantom. If he exploded himself for a faker of the one he swore to protect, that's pretty lame. He definitly did not know, and by Z3, he's "learned all the truths" as he said and follows original X...I think. After Copy-X's death though, I think the other elites of NA might have found out the truth by then.

But then again, as far as I know, I wouldn't say that Copy X is resurrected, in the eyes of other people, merely "returned". But, now talking about the Guardians, as for their Copy X, they do not know thathe is a copy. But when Wiel brought back a Copy X-2 from exile, didn't they even bother to think that this Copy 2 IS a copy? Strange to me.

Actually, I was jugling those two words when I wrote that sentence and decided on revived. *small chuckle* Now anyway, a question. Would you guys perfer me to post in chapters, or in segments? I'm not sure how long chapter 3 is gonna be, so I'm wondering on what you guys would perfer: Segments or whole chapters?

If the chapter is in its entire form, post chapters.
If it is somehow divided into segments, then go ahead with segments.
Chapters 1 and 2 were whole chapters undivided in my view.

heh-heh *sweatdrop* 20 days without a update.
Well, I'd have to give half of those days to my family visiting for my cousin's wedding (which was really amazing), another half to my me being busy with my school and work, and then the remaining half is that I've been slacking on everything of mine. All in all, I've put about in into sofar what I've done. Might as well post what I got, especally with the nature of this one chapter being 5 parts.
I'll update this one post here with the rest of the chapter as it comes in.
EDIT: Chapter 50% complete
---------------------------------------
Chapter 3 – Five eyes
11 A.M
“We now bring you a address from the Prime Leader.”
Lights turned on as a familiar face appeared. The Neo-Arcadian throne room, deep inside Area X-2 was illuminated greatly. Small little lights were on the ground and they helped light the room. The throne itself was as fine as fine could be. Neo-Arcadia’s Prime leader was sitting in it. His short brown hair trickled down, the reploid’s helmet sat on the side of his throne.
“My fellow Arcadians…” The blue reploid began, his hands holding themselves. “Today in the wee hours of the morning, a disaster occurred. A nuclear explosion rocked the country of India today. From the explosion, many people have died, more have been injured or affected by the nuclear fallout that fell from the explosion. Thousands of people have been driven from their homes, relocated from the danger of the fallout…”
A shell-like line came into view, the long helmet blocked the entire view of Copy-X, the blue reploid.
“Hey lady, move out of the way, you’re blocking the view!” Spoke a voice, followed by the slam of a stereotypical beer mug along the bar.
Leviathan - Officer’s pub- 11:01 am
The “tail” of Leviathan’s helmet blocked the only crystal display screen inside the pub, which had Copy-X’s face all over it. Leviathan looked to her side to see the slightly angry man to her side. A beer mug in his hand, and a stare back to her with his eyes.
“I said lady, move out of the way!” he said again
“Ok ok, keep your pants on” Said Leviathan with apathy in her voice. Grabbing her drink and sliding back the stool she say on, Leviathan got up and walked to the other side of the pub. Leviathan looked around the pub. Many people were there, most of them were talking amongst eachother, and the rest were watching the crystal screen that showed the address to the nation. The subtitles really helped decipher what the supposed dead tyrant was saying.
Leviathan found her new seat. She took the new stool and sat down in the seat. She took a new seat, and took a drink from her glass. She swirled the liquid in her drink once again, examining it. Ginger ale.
“Stupid Harpy” she mumbled to herself. “Won’t even let me get buzzed…” taking another drink of her soda.
“Isn’t it a little early to be drinking” Said a female voice behind her.
Levi knew exactly who it was. She replied with a smile “You and I have been up for a whole day straight. Does it really matter anymore?” The female behind her grabbed a chair and sat down next to the blue guardian.
Her dark, wavy hair flirted with her shoulders, golden eyes shining. She wore a neo-arcadian labcoat, which was white just like all other labcoats, accompanied with a matching knee-length white skirt. The jacket was opened up, and a black shirt could be seen underneath it. Her ID card was hung around her neck.
“I couldn’t agree more.” Said the black haired woman as she tried to signal for the bartender robot without avail
“It was that bad huh?” Leviathan replied
The woman replied back. “God…Levi, I don’t know how you do it. Those reporters, they’re like feral animals clawing for meat that’s not there. Now I know why you hate those people.”
“See what I go through all the time? I swear every time I talk to them I lose a year of my life, be lucky that you survived your first outing with the media” Levi responded, taking a drink of her ginger ale. “Anyway Nora, those notes and data I sent you earlier, did it help at all?”
“Oh yea” responded Nora, the woman. “I was practically repeating the information you sent to me over and over for the whole time.” Nora rubbed her forhead as she dug into the memories. She continued doing that as she said. “And if you didn’t send that data when you did…man, that one reporter would have torn me apart.”
To which Levi asked “What happened?”
“This one reporter/commentator who interviewed me, I can’t remember her name. She saw through the spin that I was trying to put on the situation and called me out on it, to which I aptly denied even though it was true. From there it digressed from that into an argument over the validity of my “information” and how much neo-arcadia actually knows of the situation at hand; while she didn’t actually say it, she basically called me a liar on what was supposed to be international television. Thank god it wasn’t live” “Don’t tell me you…” Levi quickly responded
“Yea, I then lost it and stopped the interview. Her boss actually separated us till we calmed down.”
“Oh dear god” Leviathan said sighing. “Please tell me you confiscated the tapes of that.”
Nora already knew the answer. “You know I did. And I forced them all to sign non-disclosure agreements that way it never gets out.”
“Phew. Good thinking there Nora.” Levi complemented to her friend.
“To be honest, it actually worked in my favor. Her boss apologized to me for her actions, telling me this story that she’s got this conspiracy theory that we’re not giving all truth about everything. Funny the only person who actually got close to what we were doing was a conspiracy nut.” Nora said, watching Leviathan finishing her drink and putting it back on the counter
Levi interrupted Nora, “Sorry to say, but there’s a lot more people who believe we’re not giving truthful information. It’s quite a common opinion among the media that we’re feeding them what we want them to say, not what’s actually there. That boss guy was probably trying to saving his ass thinking you were going to report them.
“I could have done that?” Nora said in shock “You know, knowing that would have been useful a few hours.”
“Heh-heh, you learn something new everyday huh?” Was Levi’s comeback
“Levi you should have told me that…” Nora said, before a robotic voice from over the counter interrupted them both.
“May I take you’re order?” spoke the bartending Pantheon drone.
“Yes, I’ll take a Mi Tai please.” Nora said.
“And I’ll take another glass of ginger ale for me” Added Levi.
“Acknowledged…Please wait…” said the bartending bot as it wheeled off to make their drinks.
“Ginger Ale? That’s what that is?” Nora said, the previous topic lost.
“You know the rule; we can’t drink while we’re on the job.
“You’re on shift? Don’t tell me you’re skipping with everything that’s going on? ” Nora responded
“No no, I’m on lunch break. Harpy gave me the hour off while he does his speech, which I wrote for him might I add.” Levi said
Nora spoke “Woh. Harpuia did? How did you talk him into that? It’s near impossible.”
“Well, He said no at first, and after a bit he still said no even though all I’ve done sofar. And after talking didn’t work…” Leviathan said as she formed the Frost Javelin in her right hand. “I went to plan B. You’d be surprised how fast he agrees to things when you..” Leviathan cleared her breath” “beat it into him”
Nora couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought.
“What about you Nora?” Levi questioned.
“I’m off shift. The moment I got back from the last interview I was summoned to Harpuia’s office to report on how it went, and when I got there I basically passed out. When I came to, Harpuia told me to take at least 12 hours off and go get some sleep and then come back to work when I wake up all rested. He told me how Humans have limitations that reploids don’t, and he doesn’t want me half awake and with half a mind during this crisis.” Nora said. “Just because I’m still human doesn’t mean I can’t go toe to toe with reploid intelligence.
Levi agreed. “You’ve already proved that and more already. Look how far you’ve come, especially without any brain implants too.”
By then, the Bartending pantheon had returned “Drinks are severed” Said the bartending machine as it placed the ladies’ drinks on the bar. One small glass garnished with a cut pineapple slice on the rim, and the other glass containing nothing but a golden liquid, bare bones with nothing else in to make it look better.
“Goodie. My drink is here.” Nora said as she picked up her glass and took a sip of her fruity drink.
“Glad you’re enjoying it. But before you do, can you finish telling me what happened?” Levi said to her friend.
“Yea, sure thing” Nora spoke back as she put the drink back down. After clearing her throat, she got back to the story.”
“Well, from what I said before, after the reporter’s boss apologized to me and we decided to redo the interview. While I was prepping, I received your transmission of the data and the notes with it. When we were set up for the re-shoot on the interview, it was basically time for it to air, it was decided to do it live.” Nora said, looking upwards into the air.
Levi made her shot “She was easier on you, Right?”
Nora responded “well…” Before Leviathan finished her sentence for her,
“He probably told her to go soft on you or he’d fire her.” Finished Levi
“You think that?” Nora asked “She wasn’t that soft on me.”
Oh really?” Leviathan said with a curious look. “What happened then?”
“Well…” Nora began “The reporter pulled a couple of punches and was barely aggressive, but she slipped in the questions that broke through my spin before; but I was able to beat it back with what you sent me and I put her back in her place. It went beautifully well.”
Levi was glad. “Glad to know I could help.” She said “As your superior officer, is there anything else at all that should know about?”
“Nope” Nora simply said back.
“Good to know.” Leviathan said as she took a drink of her ginger ale. As both girls noticed the bartending robot return to them. With it, a tablet in it’s hands. It wheeled itself to Leviathan, placing the tablet infront of her.
“Maximum drink limit reached…General Leviathan… Please pay before making another order”
“Yea yea” She said, snatching up the tablet and viewing her bill
“Um, Levi, you’re not gonna tell Harpuia about that near blunder of mine, are you?
“Well, as your superior officer I should by all accounts.” The ice queen coldly said “I should file a report and send it to Harpuia’s desk, for him to view it and deal with it as he sees fit.”
A smile cracked her face as she paid the Pantheon bartender. As she saw Nora’s expression of disappointment in the crack of her eye.
“Never said I was gonna though.” Leviathan said with her cracked smile “Listen, we’ll both get in trouble if nothing’s filed and he finds out about it, so I’ll let you do the “research” on the situation and file the report to Harpy.”
“Thanks Levi” Nora replied
“Hey, what are friends for? We’ve been best friends since like what, since we were 16? I know you’d do the same for me.” Leviathan said as she spun her stool around, facing the exit of the pub, her half-finished drink in her hand.
“I think my break’s about over…I got to get going Nora.” The General said as she finished her ginger ale with one big drink.
“You go get some sleep Nora. You need it more then me right now.” Levi said
“Don’t worry” Nora said, lifting her drink “I’m gonna sleep well tonight. See you later Levi, and don’t be afraid of giving me a call if you need anymore help.”
“Thanks Nora” Leviathan said, hopping off her seat and walking to the exit. “Catch you later”
Leviathan walked out of the pub and into the main corridors of Heaven’s Base. Walking up to the elevator, she reached in and pressed the button to call the elevator. While someone, somewhere else did the exact same thing…
Fefnir- Heaven’s Base.
“No. For the last time the answer is no.” Said a man dressed in a fine red coat. He had short fiery red hair on his head and burning red eyes.
“General Fefnir, I must insist. Please include me in the assault against Zero. My skills are…”
“Your skills are better put to use outside of the battlefield Tech” Fefnir said as the elevator door opened. “And besides, fighting Zero is a deathwish and I refuse to send anyone else to their death.”
“There shall be no fight. He will be dead before he sees me coming.” Said Tech Kraken, the Squid like reploid. His dual pair of eyes emitted a great green as he looked at Fefnir, hoping to get his chance.
“I know you want to avenge Phantom. But confronting him, directly or indirectly is something I will not allow. And besides, hasn’t Harpuia kept you busy with your own personal missions?” Fefnir rebutted
“They are nothing more then photo taking operations General Fefnir” Spoke Tech Kraken in a disgruntled tone, walking along side Fefnir into the elevator.
“I am an assassin.” He said firmly with his hand on his chest, with the data tablet he held tapping against Tech Kraken’s metallic body. “I was trained to be a assassin. With Master Phantom’s murder at the hands of Zero, I am the only and the best assassin that Neo-Arcadia has at it’s disposal. I am sick and tired of being nothing more then Master Harpuia’s errand boy running around taking photos of people. It’s disgusting! Hell, even that vile maverick Nosfruatu has been assassinating more people then I have!”
Fefnir gave a short smirk at the mention of the infamous maverick assassin. “Just because there’s a maverick killing Arcadian officials every now and then doesn’t mean I have to send you to get yourself killed. I’m not to do…” almost finished Fefnir
“Wait…hold on a second…did you say you’re taking photos for Harpuia?” Fefnir said as the door behind them closed, and the elevator began to move down to the lower floors of Heaven’s base
“Correct. All Harpuia has me lately doing is nothing more then photo taking.” Kraken answered
Fefnir’s hand moved like a wheel “Photos of what?” he said to Kraken “What the heck would Harpuia want?” Fefnir said with his curiosity in full swing.
“Such information is classified. I cannot tell you General Fefnir.” Kraken coldly said, before his voice changed it’s tune. “Although, if you let fight on the battlefield, I might be able to tell you such information”
Fefnir glared at the 4-eyed squid. “I’m 3rd in command for the government of Neo-Arcadia, and I AM in charge of all of the Neo-Arcadian Armies, there isn’t anything that’s not classified to me. Spill it Kraken.”
Tech Kraken grumbled to himself, losing some ammo to use. “Fine…They are photos that are of a scandalous, criminal, or maverick nature to give to Master Harpuia. They are of the people Harpuia cannot remove from office or those who go against him.
“So in english, Blackmail photos?” Fefnir asked
“Correct.” Kraken confirmed. “As you know Harpuia has trouble controlling some members of the legislative branch of the government, so he sent me to take blackmail photos of such people so can blackmail them and control them to his desire. More importantly, of some of the Eight Judges and of other top officials in the administration.”
The revelation did not shock Fefnir. “That does sounds like Harpy” he said. “I know he’s been through hell with trying to get his bills passed by the judges, makes sense he’d try to get some leverage for it.” He finished as he went into thought.
“I wonder…Does Harpuia have anything on me?” Fefnir said out of curiosity, even though he knew the answer.
“He does not.” Kraken said “Although it doesn’t mean I haven’t tried. You’re surprisingly a clean person.”
Fefnir gave a big smile of accomplishment with the news “Damn straight. Unfortunately I think I’m the only person around this place who doesn’t have a closet full of skeletons.”
Fefnir’s brain began to tick once again as the gears clocked out another thought and question. “Do you have anything on Leviathan?”
“Yes. I do as a matter of fact.” Kraken answered to Fefnir’s shock.
“Levi!? What the hell did she do?” Fefnir said in shock.
“She has been intoxicated on the job multiple times, the rate of which has dropped dramatically since last year when Master Harpuia took over the government administration.” Kraken said before he was cut off by Fefnir.
“Oh, that’s all? You made it sound like was doing something worse. With what Levi went though, I’m not surprised she was drinking on the job” he said
“We can both agree on that I suppose….” Kraken said, following the next line with nothing but silence as Kraken went into thought. Fefnir looked him, wondering what he was thinking.
“Yes…I think this is a good time. Yes, this will work for sure, and with the perfect leverage too…” Kraken thought to himself, leaving Fefnir in question.
Kraken verbally opened pandora’s box with the next two sentences “but that’s not all I have on her. I have some photos of her”
“Levi did something else?” Fefnir asked, as Tech had planned. The elevator reached it’s destination, and with the elevator doors opening, both walked out into a small corridor, to which’s end was a double door infront of it.
“No” Kraken said smiling “When Master Harupia learned I had no true dirt on general Leviathan, he said and I quote “to just take some embarrassing pictures of her naked”
Fefnir blushed. “ and…you have them?” the red general asked with a red face
“I do. I have not delivered them to Master Harpuia yet, I was intending on sending them in a report to him later tonight.” Kraken said, hoping Fefnir would take the bait.
Fefnir looked at Kraken again with a glare, annoyed at it. “You know I can’t let that happen” said the fighter.
Tech Kraken smiled on the inside. “It wouldn’t be long now…” he thought to himself
Fefnir made the move, “Give me the photos, and don’t just give me a copy.” Fefnir made the move that Tech had planned ever since the subject was brought up.
“Alright, I’ll give you the photos if you do me a little favor in return.” Said Kraken.
“And what’s th…” Fefnir said, stopping mid-sentence as realized what Tech wanted
“Give me my chance to fight against Zero and the photos are yours. If not I’ll give the photos to Harpuia for his use.” The trap was played and the terms was set.
“Are you trying to blackmail me?” Fefnir said as he stopped in shock.
“In a sense I am. We can both walk away with what we want” Kraken said villainously, walking past Fefnir, with the squid’s back facing him.
“Unfortunately Kraken, you forgot one thing.” Fefnir said as he rolled up his left sleeve. “I’m not slick like Harpuia”
Tech Kraken herd and saw traces of a flash of light glimmer behind him, then felt a hot metal press itself against the back of his head before he could see where the light came from.
“I don’t do negotiations” Said Fighting Fefnir, the Gomorra cannon was pressed against Kraken’s head.
“Oh boy.” Kraken silently said under his breath. His plan had just backfired added with the irony of a fiery death
“I’m getting very tired of all this. Give up the damn photos Kraken.” Fefnir demanded.
Sweat began to drip from the back of Kraken’s neck as he felt the heat of Gomorra pressed against him. The fact came apparent to him that the great and marvelous plan to bribe general Fefnir so he could destroy Zero and avenge Phantom has turned into a half-baked failure .Kraken knew his attempt was in vain, beaten once again, before a single step on the battlefield could be taken.
“Alright.” Kraken said with a defeated tone “I’ll give them to you, but just…put the gun away”
“Gladly” Fefnir said with annoyance in his voice, retracting Gomorra as the massive launcher flashed and dissipated back into fefnir’s arm. Kraken turned around to face Fefnir again as he asked the red general a question “I’ll put them on the data tablet I have here and you can have them. Is that ok sir?”
Fefnir’s response took Kraken by surprise “No Kraken, go send them to the Leviathan’s private account anonymously.”
“Wha…what?” Kraken replied dumbfound to Fefnir desire not to get the photos of the beautiful Leviathan. While Tech Kraken wasn’t humanoid even he understood the amazing figure of Leviathan, or at least the fact that others lusted for it.
“Yes, send them back to the Leviathan for her to deal with them” Fefnir firmly said. “I as hell don’t want to be caught having possession of those things when Levi finds out, she’d kill me.”
Again, Tech Kraken was confused. “But…” he began, “How is she going to find out?”
“It’s simple, I’m going to go tell her right now.” Fefnir answered in full seriousness.
“WHAT?” Kraken shouted as shock rang throughout all four of his eyes. The thought of the sea beauty’s wrath had begun to loom over him.
Fefnir’s tone grew more serious in a heartbeat. “Of course Kraken, I’m not going to let things like this happen under my watch.” Fefnir said to the squid reploid.
He stopped for a moment as he thought about his next sentence before he said it. “But don’t worry, I won’t tell her that you took them. You were under orders to do so, and I know you have no interest in these perverted types of things. And as such I expect those photos to be in her account as soon as we’re done here.”
Fefnir’s eyes focused and burned themselves into Kraken’s eyes. “Do we have ourselves clear?” he decreed
Kraken looked down as he answered “Yes sir” Kraken said to Fefnir.
“Good” Fefnir said, bringing his hands together in a clap, completely moving on and changing the subject at as second’s notice. “With that out of the way, let’s get to the real reason why I called you here Tech.”
With that, Fefnir pushed open the double doors that stood infront of him. The light of the coming room emitted from the door’s entrance as the two reploids walked through the double doors. Metal grating rattled as the two stepped out of the small room and took their first steps onto the large metal catwalk.
“As you know” Tech Kraken said as he began to debrief Fefnir “due to recent events, the majority of the Neo-Arcadian military is stationed in India cleaning up the nuclear explosion. For the military operation you’re planning, only one security battalion was able to be recalled to be scrambled for the operation.”
“And how many different units are there at my disposal?” Fefnir asked
“Here, I think it’d be faster if I showed you yourself” Tech kraken answered as he handed his data tablet to Fefnir. Fefnir stopped, and took a long look at the tablet’s information as Tech Kraken narrated the information it displayed
“We have currently a minimum of 1000 pantheon units, most are the basic combat infantry. Among them, are gold commanders to lead the groups and coordinate together in real time, and we had an additional 5 regular Golem units that are prepped and ready to go any minute.”
“I see…don’t we have any of those fire ones?” Fefnir asked out of curiosity
“Afraid not sir, Zero destroyed the last one and General Lev…I mean the science division hasn’t approved construction of any other elemental Golem units.”
“Thought so” Fefnir said, recalling his countless scolding by Leviathan for trashing the highly expensive units. “I know Levi’s been complaining how fast I go through those things, makes sense she’d do something like this” finished Fefnir, sighing at it’s end.
“Oh well” he said moving on. “What about the other thing I asked for.” Fefnir asked
“All approved sir. The two heavy launcher cannons you requested are operational, and we have the teleport system grid opened up so we can send them right to the resistance’s front doorstep.”
“No no no, that won’t do” Fefnir said to Kraken, waving his finger. “If they know it’s there, they’re going to blow it away with their sentry guns before it can even charge up.”
Fefnir had a point. To which Kraken promptly asked for a new solution “Then Sir, how are we going to get them to the battlefield?”
“Simple.” Said the preplanned Fefnir, “We call in two of the stealth crawler transporters to carry those huge things to the field. It should give us the edge in launching a first strike to take out their sentry guns.”
“Alright, once you give me back the tablet, I have that all set up right away.” Finished Kraken.
“Good, all good. Now Kraken, I know you of all people should know who’s coming along on this mission.” Fefnir said with a little fun thrown in the pitch of his voice. “What company commanders are joining me on this operation.”
“Well sir” Began Kraken with displeasure in his voice answered. We have Burble Hekelot, Phoenix Magnion, and Panter Flauclaws, and Colonel Aztec Falcon as well will be joining you.”
‘Hmm, any other mentionables that are available?”
Yes, in fact Senior Lieutenant Kraft is going to depart for India within the hour, I can pull him into the operation if you desire.”
“Alright, that sounds good. Put him in charge of a couple pantheon units, if he wants to take any of his subordinates along do so. I trust you can do that for me as well?”
“Indeed sir” Kraken said with obedience.
“Alright, that all sounds good, that’s all I needed to know. Thank a lot Tech.” Fefnir said upbeat “Now if you excuse me, I have a military operation to plan, and you need to be making those arrangements. And don’t forget those photos too.”
“Yes…that too.” Kraken said with displeased, yet unforunate understanding “I’ll get on it right away.”
“Good” Fefnir said, just as Tech Kraken began to walk away back to the elevator, and Fefnir down deeper on the catwalk.
As he walked Kraken’s eye’s drifted to underneath the platform. Residing below him, Kraken saw an endless ocean of what was the Neo-Arcadian Military. Drones as far as the eye can see, an unstoppable army of such might, only the power of a legend could challenge such an endless army.
Unfortunately for them, a legend was exactly what they were up against.
