... boy, I'm glad I wasn't involved in that mess.
Watercolours, so that's how you did it. Who would have guessed that was awesome. Really impressive. Maybe you can move to oil painting.
I like that scene a lot. The boy's spikey hair on the back in fine, so don't worry about it. But I do agree with your the girl's hair is a bit odd. Well, you know what they say - practice makes perfect. Overall, I like that new art and more practice will benefit you.

Uhh. FanWriter, she said, and you can tell by looking at both, that they're both girls. XD
I kinda agree that I'd like to see it colored, but if you're like me and usually afraid to color in fear of ruining it, then I won't force you to. XD

... OH.
I looked and saw a boy and a girl (boy on the right). But I'd rather be corrected with what she said. More reliable and correct.
Colour-wise - I'd too like to see more where possible.

x'DDDDD LOL. <3 Yeah. Fann, make sure you read the little captions under the drawings dear <3 I'm making an effort to state the gender so people don't mess it up. xD It's fine though, I got a good laugh out of it. And hey, you know what Nightmare? <: Not done yet, but I did all that last night. Need to fix Yoko's skin up and give her her tattoo and do the clothes. 'Tho, my scanner totally ruined it. Yoko's hair is dark and lime green, not green and yellow. xD So the original colors were a lot darker. You can't even see the skin color on Yoko's shoulder. XD

Two options for the scanner problem - get a new one or you can adjust the contrast and brightness. Some scanners have this feature, dunno about yours.
Continue on.

I got the scanner for free. so yeah, I have to deal with it. It's an HP, so it sucks. But, if I can get the CD that comes with it from the lady I got it from (she runs the music center i go to) I'll probably be all set and be able to adjust it. Oh, BTW. Did anyone notice that my new avatar is a Yoko sprite? My friend Gina made it for me. <3

After you posted that art, ... yeah that kind of looks like her. I guess.
Good luck getting the required CD ... or a new scanner. As for new scanner part, mine's a Canon scanner - that's where I got the idea of adjusting contrast and brightness.

Haha, thanks. :] ANNNNND~ OMG MEGA FAIL XD This one...haha. first shot at action poses. Critiques on how to make it look like a body parts moving fast...or ideas for poses...would be HIGHLY appreciated. xD;; This was just a quick pencil and pen sketch...but hurr, I DO like it. Probs shoulda gave her a neck rather than having her head down, but hey, whatever. xD I GOTTA PRACTIIIICEE~!

What's she supposed to be doing?

I agree, looks good. Is it supposed to be like, underwater? Cause it kinda looks like it. o.o
As for poses and the illusion of motion, I don't got any ideas really... Those areas have always been something I'm not so good at either. XD

Oh, haha, excuse me. I shoulda mentioned that she's swinging her leg around to kick an enemy or something of the sorts. xD
And I sorta just scribbled a background...so no, that's not water. And the fuzzy lines around her arms and hands are sparks of energy about to form summoning circles.
So she's about to kick someone and summoning a giant snake. Yup. <:
She has a weird fighting style. She only uses her hands psychically to distract someone by getting her hands in close to their face to deter their vision and then she'll kick them. All of her physical strength is in her legs, really. Yeah~ Yoko again.

She looks like she's about to fall over... Overall, it looks a little stiff for an action shot. Try making the torso more twisted, or the knees and elbows, bent more. It's not bad though. ^^d

It's moderately okay. Not bad for a first try.
She could be holding a sword or stuff, and her right palm could be open and fingers are stretched out, feet tightly holding themselves on the soil below.
