Yeah, but the second one is effectless, at Nightmare's Request. This belongs in the sprite category. They're my sprites and I can add glowing effects to them if I want to. I always save them without any effects and only add the glow if I want to make it look cool before it's posted. Oh, and I just updated the second one. We can critique your sprites much easier if you don't add effects... If you want C+C on sprites, you're not supposed to add effects to make them look cooler. The whole point of being a spriter is making them look cool without effects. Get what I'm saying?

I learned my lesson and am not adding any more effects to my sprites if I want them criticized. Ok, behold my standing pose! Please keep in mind that the legs are mostly scratch. It's actually the most scratch work I have ever done that looks good. C+C please!

No, someone made it, but it is Public Domain, meaning you're allowed to use it.

Well, this is my first Zero edit right here. Legs, and shoulders are 80% scratch and the hair is 100% scratch. Not one of my best works but it's not finished yet. Anyways, I want A LOT of criticism and comments on this one, I deffinetly have a lot to improve and hope to improve. EDIT: I am aware that the shoes/bottom part of legs look horrible.

it looks.. under shaded. And the legs look like their flaminco dancer pants with a buncha frills al the way down... shoulders arent bad. The hands/fingers could use more definition. But ot bad altogether.

It isn't undershaded, it has the right amount of shades. Problem is contrast, you need to make the outline darke and actualy make it so we can tell the difference between the shades. The chest's contrast is so much sharper and higher than the rest of the sprite that it sticks out too much. Also for a 32 bit sprite, dont use the same color for for the whole outline. (ex, dark grey outline for grey, dark red for red all around) You have to accent the outlines as well. You dont see me with a super solid dark peach outline around my skin.

Personally, I like the first one best. Only thing I see wrong with that one is the left foot, I kinda like how the pants sit on the right shoe.

The legs are a bit uneven, one is longer, and It looks like a normal person with megaman style legs, they are do big at the bottom, and they bend out, then down. the rest seems good. maybe just a bit more shading would make it nicer.

You should pick a spot where the light is, and have that whole side of his body brighter, and make the shading more visible, with really bright colors. Also use more shades of colors. there are only 2 in the hair. Try usinf another brighter shade of gray and add more color to it.
