The weapon on the right looks kinda unique.
Left one is too usually seen.

Eh ..... I think the arm saber thing can use better designing than that. But if this is your first try and you want to improve on it, I don't mind.

HZ's Request - Sorella's Sister. I hate dresses. I also hate how everywhere I look recommended proportions include "8 heads tall", cuz then I get these stretched people. XD What's done is done though, and I feel like it's one of my better works regardless.

Whoa, reminds me of xxxHolic. Their body proportions are way too stretched.

I agree on the part on where the body proportions look way to stretched, even though I've never read xxxHolic. (Should I?)
I'm no art critic, but I think the arms should look a little bit thicker, and the hands need to be a little larger as well. Usually, whenever a hand is fanned out (like showing the number 5), its diameter can cover the person's face. The bent part of the elbow should also look a bit longer and sharper. The dress looks pretty good, but I think the sleeves should have a few more wrinkles on them.
But despite all of that, I think it looks really good!

Yeah, she did come out kinda CLAMP-ish. (xxxHolic is one of but many manga by CLAMP, which seems to specialize in making really long-limbed characters. Code Geass is another more recent example).
And when it comes to drawing hands, I must tend to get paranoid or something because I can never make them look good when I draw them big, yet when I make them small they don't look so bad. The thickness of the arms... well, I think it's more because of the stretchiness, but I meant to make them more slender because as HZ described the character's not really the warrior-type.
I think next time I'm just gonna throw that "7-8 heads tall" thing out, because that kinda screwed me over in proportions.

7-8 heads is almost always gonna make the character looks stretched unless it has a bulky, wideset frame.
6 heads'll be more realistic for thinner characters.

Yeah, that sounds about right, or at least better than 8 xD. Bear in mind this was a recommendation I read in a book a really long time ago when I was drawing more often, so chances were that recommendation was a more specific one.
