yay bye bye.
strange that non-gamers give the ratings but still anoying. everytime i go into blockbuster they ask if im 17 or older and i (conkers bad furday thats fun and uh funny) dont like to lie even white lies. the ratings are things i dont even look at whether its E or AO i just want to have fun. its all fun in games however it would be nice if a gta game had someone get punished for there crimes however laws vary by state/province so.
the ratings have hardly anything to do with the actual over-all game or at least not in the movie industry see spawn the movie xtra interview and youl kwim.

ok, to what some people were saying at the start of this thread (i dont feel like reading the emails)....
some guys who live in our region died in a car crash. they were street racing, and the police found need 4 speed in one of the cars. games can be bad if u cant handle them.
and I agree GTA is a horrible game. there are plenty of othergames like it, but u dont have for play a game like that

All this Jack Thompson crap is stupid. It's as simple as this.
If you feel that your child isn't capable of seperating real life from fantasy yet, do not allow them to play a game like GTA.
The only thing to blame for teenagers going out and killing cause of what they say in a video game is the parents. They should know what kind of material their kid is watching/playing, and they shouldn't allow it if it'll encourage them to kill. This is, however assuming that people really are stupid enough to kill someone because of a video game, which is highly unlikely.
Jack Thompson is just a little man trying to find his place in the world, and what better way to become known around the world than to attack one of the worlds most popular sources of entertainment?
