Dissidia 012 [Duodecim] Final Fantasy

A sequel to Dissidia has been announced! And even more, two characters have already been confirmed! Lightning from ffXIII and Kain Highwind from ffIV.



I don't think I have to say... I'm damn excited.

• Lightning can use her Paradigm Shifts. She can switch between Commando, Ravager and Medic.
  
• There's a new "Assist System". Allowing you to temporarily call a second character for a quick attack.
  
• An exact number for new characters has not been given, but Square has stated that there will be "many".
  
• All character from Dissidia will be returning.
  
• Characters will have two alternate costumes.
  
• New summons will be added.
  
• All areas in Dissidia will be returning as well.
  
• The number music tracks will be doubled compared to Dissidia.
  
• Saved data from Dissidia can be transferred over.

This is the first time I've seen the original screenshots released in high resolution without logos blocking them...



Finally getting a good look at the HUD. We all noticed there were two mysterious extra meters down there, but what I'm looking at is that "ATK" on Lightning's. Perhaps this is a hint to her being able to change styles mid-battle, like in FFXIII. She might be a character similar to Cecil, in a sense, comparing to his ability to switch between Dark Knight and Paladin.

English release confirmed for 2011. Exact season or date has not been revealed, but should not be too far off from the Japanese release in the Spring.

Also, there's a slight change to EX Burst backgrounds





As you can see, heroes get a blue background now while villains get a red one.

Not much I can get from this one. All I can really say is that in EX Mode she equips the Premium Heart, her EX Burst will involves slots like her Limit Break in ffVII, and her alternate outfit will be her AC look.
