I'm tired of Sylveon. I just want to know what type it is so I can never use it. Oh god yes, this is what I've been thinking the whole time.

And you couldn't of mentioned that before I posted four new Pokemon?

Going over stuff we already know... but it's been double officially confirmed... Was watching the latest trailer for the new Pokemon movie, and I saw this. Ok... each Eeveelution seems to have something connected to their type in those little symbol things (Jolteon has lightning bolts, Glaceon's is a snow flake, etc.). Let's take a closer look at Sylveon's. Those are the new gym badges behind each of the Eeveelutions, I can feel it. But... There are nine of them ; A ;

But... There are nine of them ; A ; There are 8 Eevolutions and one Eevee. So I think Ztrl could be right, those could be the gym types and the badges behind them. As for the new crap Tony posted, I don't like the look of the bird or the lizard, but I could see myself using the ram and potentially the panda. As far as the trainers go, I think they made the female character look much more interesting again, I think the last couple males have all looked the same and I'm a little disappointed they can't come up with a new design concept.

Well, just so people don't miss it. Corocoro seems to have leaked, and we got stuff! What we got here seems to be the early game bird, a fighting-type panda, a grass ram that you can ride, and an electric lizard. Also, you can see the new Pokedex design as well. EDIT: Got names now... Bird is Yayakoma, Panda is Yancham, Ram is Gogoat, and unfortunately due to the glare... we can't get the lizards name. EDIT 2: More things coming in... first look at the official artwork for the playable characters. EDIT 3: It also seems that the name of the new setting is the Karos Region, and that there will be some level of character customization. EDIT 4: Lizard's name is Elikiteru and is Electric/Normal.

We got English names for the new Pokemon! First... The Electric/Normal lizard, Helioptile! "Helioptile charges itself by bathing in the light of the sun, providing it with enough energy that it doesn't need to eat!" It can learn a new move called "Parabolic Charge" that heals it while also damaging it's opponent. Next, the Normal/Flying bird... Fletchling. "With a friendly nature and a beautiful chirp, Fletchling is a popular Pokémon among many Trainers. But Fletchling is also known to be ferocious in battle, capable of unleashing relentless attacks!" And surprisingly, it can learn the move "Flame Charge". Now, we get to my personal favorite of this group, the Fighting panda... Pancham. "With its trademark leaf always sticking out of its mouth, Pancham tries to intimidate its opponents by glaring at them intensely (although this is rarely successful)." It can also learn a new move called "Parting Shot" that forces it to switch out, but lowers the Attack and Special Attack of it's opponent. Finally, there is the Grass goat who's name has remained the same... Gogoat. "Gogoat is so large that people are able to able to ride on its back. It's very calm, and can form a strong bond with its Trainer's feelings when its Trainer grabs onto its horns." It is also able to learn the very useful move, "Horn Leech".
Other than that we got some more flavor information about the starters. "The Grass-type Pokémon Chespin has a tough shell covering its head and back. Despite having a curious nature that tends to get it in trouble, Chespin keeps an optimistic outlook and doesn't worry about small details." "Searing heat blows from the ears of the Fire-type Pokémon Fennekin. This Pokémon loves to snack on twigs. Fennekin can be temperamental, but it tries to do its best for its Trainer." "The Water-type Pokémon Froakie is both light and strong, making it capable of jumping incredibly high. The bubbles on its chest and back protect it from attacks. Froakie may appear absentminded, but in truth it pays close attention to its surroundings at all times."
And while it has not been shown, the official website has stated that character customization will include different outfits.

It makes me wonder if the goat evolves at all. It looks cutesy like its in its most basic stage, but when they're that large you assume they're fully evolved.
The new moves sound cool, but I still think the bird and the lizard look bad. Hopefully they'll evolve into something better looking.

I really didn't want to talk about this because of reason I'll get to in a bit, but seeing as there's nothing else... I might as well bring it up.
Earlier this month on the Japanese TV show "Pokemon Smash" they had this short sketch. They brought in a woman dressed like Sylveon and proceeded to run some test to find out her type. I'm not going get into details, but from what they've shown... it seems that Sylveon is not fighting, has at least neutral effectiveness to ice, and can be harmed (and might possible be weak to) poison.
I really don't want to take anything they showed too seriously. As it was clearly meant to be a comedy sketch, and it seems like it was all just done to be funny and not really meant to hint at anything. That's not to say that they aren't hinting at something... it's just that I don't think they are. I've seen too many people looking too much into this, trying to deduce Sylveon's type... when in reality, it's probably nothing more than a joke.

Does this mean it's a new type after all? Is there anything that actually fits that description?
I don't understand all your new fangled Pokeymanz weaknesses and resistances. I memorized the card game and that's about as complex as I needed it to get.
